APPLE CAKE with cinnamon

This is my mum's apple cake recipe. In autumn, when there are the new apples of the season, it's always present in her kitchen. I love it: simple and delicious.
I decided, however, to make some changes and to make it even more tasty. I'm really proud of the result: this is not only an apple cake. This is an addictive apple cake!

Let's see how to prepare it.

 Ingredients

3 apples
180 gr plain flour
150 gr brown sugar + 1 spoon
2 eggs
40 gr butter; melted
2 teaspoons baking powder
a pinch of salt
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 lemon zest + juice
100 ml milk

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 180˚. Grease a tube pan

2. Peel and cut the apples into thin slices. Toss in a bowl with lemon juice.

3. Mix well eggs and sugar. Add milk, 20gr melted butter, flour, baking powder, salt and lemon zest. Stir well then add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.

4. Pour the mixture into the tube pan. Arrange the apple slices vertically, with the core side down. Apples must not be completely covered by the dough.

5. Sprinkle the apples with the remaining butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.

6. Cook for 35/40 minutes
